This week saw some incredible matchups and a couple stunning come-backs by teams on the road. Here's where David Burge's marbles land once it all wrapped up. Thanks to Alabama's relatively easy opponent they didn't have as many marbles to gain so they got leapfrogged by the winners of two of the biggest games of the week. Kentucky continues to impress and as usual the SEC is generally dominant in the top 10. They also still have the most undefeated teams with 4 (ACC has 2, Big12 has 2, Big10 has 1, Pac12 has 1, plus ND, plus 3 in the AAC).
Thanks to their bye week, S. Florida stays undefeated and maintains their status as the best non-P5 school at 33rd place. Nebraska passed UCLA for the worst P5 school, thanks to their loss at home while UCLA's loss was on the road. They have still played 2 of the 5 hardest schedules in FBS so far this season, but then again, Notre Dame has played the 6th hardest and is undefeated (find that list elsewhere on my blog here).
Not a lot of really marquee matchups this coming week. Texas is at Oklahoma, Ohio St is hosting Indiana (expect them to get 48 marbles), LSU is at Florida (potential for 67 marbles), and ND is at VT (potential to get 71 marbles). Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia all have relatively easy matchups this week.
As always, let me know if you see any errors or have any feedback or want to discuss (@NateEMiller) on twitter. And put all the hard questions to the commissioner @IowaHawkBlog
Edit (9/30/18): Thanks to @Brian_Bokenyi for pointing out my inability to count.
