IowaHawkBlog's Marble Game Through Week 6

What a weekend of college football! There were so many incredible games yesterday, multiple of which caused some key moves at the top of the table.  The biggest of these were clearly the Alabama and Penn State losses (to A&M and Iowa, respectively).  Iowa climbed into the #1 spot, just a hair above Georgia, while Penn St fell out of the top 10. Alabama also fell from the top ten to the #12 spot while A&M gained 24 positions and broke into the top 25.  BYU was also dealt a loss by one of their nemeses, Boise State, and fell from 10th to 16th as a result, while Boise climbed an incredible 46 places in the rankings, the biggest move of the week.  What a weekend of college football.

As a reminder, the table immediately below this is made using the new initial marble counts that David proposed over the last couple weeks. So each team gets an initial number of marbles based on their scheduling, with each P5 opponent on their schedule being worth 10 marbles, each G5 and FCS team on their schedule being worth 0 marbles, and everyone getting another 100 marbles.  For a list of what all those initial values were, see my IHBMG post for last week, week 5.  I've also included the table with the system performed with the older initial counts at the bottom of the post.

A few big games appear on the schedule for next week. Georgia at Kentucky is probably the one with the biggest marble counts available, but Iowa/Purdue, BYU/Baylor, OKSt/Texas, Bama/MissSt, and I'm sure some others that I'm missing, have the potential to shake things up a bit.  Wisconsin has still played the hardest schedule so far, while the PAC12 had collectively played the hardest schedules across the conference.  The PAC still languishes as the worst of the P5 conferences on average, with Arizona as the lowest ranked P5 school.  Cincy is the highest ranked G5 school at 13th overall.
