This is starting to look a lot more like what I'd expect. Some of the games this week must have had some important connections that help the algorithm sort out enough needed links to really differentiate the teams. Reminder that I don't do anything specific to separate P5 and non-P5 teams in this system, I just let the system itself sort that out over the course of the season. So teams like Cincy, BYU, and ND tend to do rather well here, especially in the early season, and big wins like Boise State's tend to be much more beneficial than you'd expect. These things will sort themselves out as more data rolls in.
As is the norm, every season, the PAC12 continues to cannibalize itself out of all respect. Oregon State lost and fell 29 places. Utah beat USC and climbed 18 spots. Oregon and Arizona St are probably the best two in the conference and both barely make the top 25. The PAC always manages to work all the teams towards the middle of the table. Collectively, the PAC12 rankings are worse than the MWC right now.
