2019 - NEMindex through Week 14

I made it home safe from Utah and finally got a chance to sit down and get this all pounded out for this week.

As expected, Ohio State continues to hold the top spot. They basically have done all season. As of right now, I have UGA making the 4th spot still, but conference championships will obviously affect this a lot.  Utah continues to struggle to make moves because of the mediocrity of their opponents, they stay stuck at 7th even with the win over Colorado.  A win against Oregon may not be enough to get them in, even if Georgia and Wisconsin lose.  We'll see next week.

Interestingly too, Utah is in a virtual tie with Memphis, who will be playing Cincy for the AAC championship.  Considering that Cincy and Oregon are also nearly equal in RTPS, there is probably a scenario where Memphis destroys Cincy, and with some other losses and Utah either losing or winning in a tight game over Oregon, Memphis ends up in the 4th position here.  I don't honestly believe Memphis is better than Utah, or Oklahoma, or Georgia, but that's what this system is supposed to do: find the teams that otherwise get written off when they shouldn't be.
